What in tarnation? Here’s some gorgeous stop animation word nerdery. Or, as creator Stephen Doyle, founder of New York-based design agency, Doyle Partners puts it: “How should we promote the US Green Building Council’s upcoming conference, Greenbuild Next? How about with an abridged history of civilization on one 8 1/2 x11 piece of paper with a series of 2,933 still photos?” How else, indeed?
Apple today announced iCloud, iOS 5, and Mac OS X Lion. All expected. I followed along on Engadget — Macworld’s live feed was too buggy with its “live” updates — and my initial thought was: “Apple is knocking this out of the park.”
I still feel as though this is a major move forward for Apple, but in seeing the inevitable “what does this mean for Dropbox, or Rdio, or Instapaper” posts trickle down through my Twitter feed, I’m left with a lot of questions, and few answers.

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
At the moment, my favorite inanimate object is a beautiful purple Visconti fountain pen that I purchased recently. I have a pen fetish, I’ll admit it, and I own some very pretty pens. But this pen, even if it were ugly (it is not), would still be my favorite. It writes so beautifully, the ink (I use Levenger bottled ink) never clumps up or skips. And when paired with a fresh sheet of Clairfontaine paper, it’s a little like pure writing heaven.
Yeah, I post pictures of cats. So sue me!
